Broker Dashboard: Enabling Faster Deal Lifecycles

Fraction helps homeowners tap into their home equity without monthly payments, offering a flexible alternative to traditional loans.
Fraction’s platform was built for homeowners, helping them access equity in their home, but over 60% of applications came through brokers who had no tools to support the process. We built a dashboard to give brokers visibility and control, helping them move deals forward faster. This reduced funding timelines, increased broker volume, and created a better experience for everyone involved.
The Problem
We realized that while our platform focused on homeowners, our best and most successful applications were coming through mortgage brokers.
We dug into the data with Capital Markets and saw three things:
- The average user was 59, often near retirement.
- Many weren’t comfortable uploading sensitive documents or completing ID checks online.
- 70% of applications were for debt relief, and users were under time pressure.
Brokers weren’t just middlemen, they were trusted guides who helped clients through a complex and high-stakes financial process. But our system left them out entirely. There was no way for brokers to track deals, upload documents, or act on behalf of their clients. That put extra pressure on sales and operations, slowed down funding, and led to drop-off.
We worked across sales, ops, capital markets, and engineering to rethink the workflow.

What We Shipped & Why It Mattered
- Our most consistent users were older homeowners nearing retirement
- They were more comfortable working with a professional than using a fully digital process
- Most were looking for fast debt relief
- Any delay created stress, risked losing the deal, and increased manual work for our team
If we wanted to scale, we had to give brokers the tools they needed to act quickly, accurately, and independently. Each feature was chosen to reduce funding time, build trust, and make the product clearer for users who were often handling the largest asset they owned, their home.
